Maybe you are hanging with your family more or doing crossword puzzles (does anybody even do those still)?
Why not take this opportunity to do some self-training and ignite your inner flame with a passion of learning. Long weekends and long nights are the perfect time to maybe take a class online and learn something new or better your career. Even reading a new book in your field or an autobiography of your favorite sport player, might give you a different perspective and fresh ideas. When was the last time you read and dreamed about what to do on your bucket list?
Even though we are unable to travel right now, we can still check out that book at our local library, about the country we wish to visit someday. Or better yet, get the new business book to stay one step ahead of your competitors. It is easy to get lazy and spend these extra late nights on leisure time. However, with the election coming up and unstable markets, this is an ample opportunity to draw-in and be proactive on your business goals. I believe uncertainty can be the time where we should be stable and rise-up to come up with outside-the-box ideas to enhance our productivity. Be different, innovative and fresh. Concentrate on swimming upstream to outsmart the sharks.
Think of the next time you will have coffee with a client, and the conversations you will have when asked on you what you did with this extra time. So, take this time yes to hang out more with your family but do something to better yourself.
